Looking to enjoy a cocktail in Long Beach to end off the weekend during this unprecedented time of the coronavirus?
Not so fast says California Governor, Gavin Newsom. Erring on the side of caution, Newsom held a press conference today to order all bars, nightclubs, and wineries to close to help curb the community spread of Covid-19. Newsom is not the only governor to do this. California joins Ohio, Illinois, and Massachusetts in this safety measure.
He also recommendeds all individuals over the age of 65 to stay home and isolate.
The coronavirus has now affected many facets of life here in Long Beach with large events such as the Grand Prix and Long Beach Pride being cancelled along with many schools and businesses closing. More to come.
