300 Coronavirus Cases in Long Beach

Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia announced today that citywide, there are now 300 cases of the Coronavirus.

This number has steadily increased as more and more people have access to testing.

Out of the 300 cases, there have been more than 140 recoveries and eight deaths.

The entire state of California is on lockdown until May 1st until further notice with large events like the Grand Prix being cancelled.

The mayor also announced that the local supply of ventilators is sufficient for current demand and that they are monitoring the situation closely.

This week was expected to be particularly devastating as most states across the country have been seeing rises in their coronavirus cases. Residents have been urged to stay at home as much as possible and to continue practicing social distancing.
