Long Beach Joe Jost’s Has Opening For A New Neighbor

Long Beach, CA

Joe Jost’s is one of Long Beach’s oldest establishments. A Long Beach institution for over 80 years, it offers consistent “old time, no frills” libations, special sandwiches, hot dogs, picked eggs, marmion’s peanuts, pool tables, sports games on the television, regular patrons, and friendly service.

Joe Jost’s even has it’s own line of t-shirts and it not uncommon for a Long Beach traveler to see a person wearing the famous article of clothing while visiting another California town, state, or even another continent.

Now, there is an opportunity for a business to open up right next to the world famous Joe Jost’s. Centennial Advisors has the current space for lease.

It was remodeled five years ago and is a 2847 square foot office, leasing for $1.65 a square foot/month. There is a small warehouse in the back for storage, a conference room, and 5 private offices with 4 privatized cubicles.

The clever AVAILABLE FOR LEASE sign reads, “IF YOU LEASED HERE, YOU WOULD BE AT JOE JOST’S BY NOW.”

Joe Jost’s is located in the Zaferia District on east Anaheim street and is part of the Zaferia Business Association.

The goal of the Zaferia Business Association is to “promote, enhance, and represent the business members of the Zaferia District.” It’s boundaries include Junipero Avenue to the west, Pacific Coast Highway to the east, 11th Street to the south, and 14th Street to the north.

Since forming in 1991, the street has seen steady improvements like cleaner sidewalks, new street banners, vibrant businesses, and artistic murals.

While Covid-19 has slowed down businesses across the City of Long Beach and beyond, on its website Joe Jost’s reminds its visitors of two things, one, that it is available for pickup on Friday – Sunday from 11-4pm, and two, that it has survived many other hard times.

With the seemingly never ending battle with Covid-19, Long Beach residents are likely to breathe a sigh of relief when they can start visiting their favorite establishments like Joe Jost’s that make Long Beach special, once again.
