Update: Critical Missing Person Alert – Richard Johnston Blythe

Long Beach Police Officers located Blythe in a hotel located in the 3800 block of Lakewood Boulevard. Blythe was found safe, unharmed, and was reunited with his caregivers.

The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 92-year-old critical missing person Richard Johnston Blythe, who was last seen on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at approximately 10 p.m.

Blythe was last seen at his live-in care facility, located in the 3100 block of East Artesia Boulevard. Blythe has medical conditions and may become lost and disoriented.

The critical missing person is described as follows:

Age: 92-years-old
Gender: Male
Race: White
Height: 5’8″
Weight: 150 lbs
Hair: White
Eyes: Blue
Clothing: Vietnam Vet hat, white shirt, and khaki pants
Scars/Marks: None
Visible Dental Work: None
Medical Alerts: Suffers from medical condition(s) and may become disoriented
