Six suspects arrested in connection to Echo Park robbery after a pursuit

Los Angeles, California – Six suspects that prompted a pursuit in an Echo park were arrested, according to Los Angeles Police Department detectives.

While investigating a robbery in Downtown Los Angeles, cops recognized one of the suspects who is alleged to have been engaged in at least one of multiple high-profile burglaries that have occurred in the last month.

The first suspect and five other individuals in the car fled when officials attempted to approach them. The pursuit eventually stopped when the vehicle reached Bellevue Avenue and West Kensington Road and the suspects continued running on foot.

Following the pursuit, a wide perimeter was set up around a residence on Bellevue Avenue, which all of the suspects entered. Following a brief standoff, authorities were able to apprehend all of the suspects.

During the standoff, SWAT and K-9 units were deployed.

At least one of the suspects is linked to an expensive jewelry robbery on Figueroa Street on December 7, according to the LAPD report.

While the investigation is ongoing and information is limited due to confidentiality, detectives with the Central Area Division revealed that the case revolves around several robberies in which the victim, usually at a restaurant or hotel, is approached at gunpoint and high-end items, such as jewelry and wristwatches, are taken.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
