Four injured in multi-vehicle accident in Sylmar
Sylmar, California – A multi-vehicle incident on the southbound 5 Freeway in Sylmar Monday evening left three people under the age of 18 and a 20-year-old man injured.
According to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident happened at 8:10 p.m. near the 405 Freeway.
The number of automobiles involved in the accidents was not immediately known, but Stewart said one was sent over the edge of the freeway and down a hill.
Two of the injured could not walk as a result of their injuries and were assisted by paramedics to waiting ambulances. The other two sustained minor injuries.
There was no information immediately available about the cause of the crash.
