Free COVID-19 testing events to be held weekly at Highland Park
Los Angeles, California – Anyone interested in getting tested for COVID-19 will be able to do so at the free COVID-19 testing pop-up which will be held in Highland Park through 4 p.m.
Councilman Gil Cedillo’s office, which is organizing the pop-up alongside disaster relief nonprofit Community Organized Relief Effort, said the event will take place every week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot at 124 N. Ave. 59.
“During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our vulnerable residents continue to need our help. That is why my office is partnering with CORE to bring a free weekly COVID-19 testing site to the residents of Highland Park. Although more people are getting vaccinated and boosted, and the Omicron variant surge going down, we still have cases among the unvaccinated and breakthrough cases, we all need to be tested regularly,” said Cedillo.
Cedillo is also advising people to wear face coverings, wash their hands frequently, keep social distance, and get tested, vaccinated, and boosted as soon as they are able to in order to keep themselves and their family safe.
“We must continue these measures if we are going to end this horrible pandemic and keep our children, youth and families safe,” Cedillo added.
