Maintenance work forces closure of part of the southbound 710 Freeway

Long Beach, California – According to officials, a portion of the southbound 710 Freeway in Long Beach will be closed to traffic due to maintenance work.

Caltrans officials said the closure is scheduled from 11:59 p.m. on Saturday until 7 a.m. on Sunday along the Pacific Coast Highway.

In addition, some on-ramps to the southbound freeway will also be closed to traffic.

During that time period, detour signs will be placed at the blocked ramps.
