35-year-old Long Beach man arrested for stabbing and injuring a woman Friday night

Long Beach, Ca. – The local authorities confirmed that a 37-year-old man was arrested on Friday night for stabbing and injuring a woman.

According to the police report, the incident occurred in the 1000 block of Obispo Avenue around 11:30 p.m. on Friday. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found the female victim with one stab wound in the upper body. She informed the responding officers that the attack stemmed from an argument with her partner.

The injury, according to the first responders, was non-life-threatening and the victim was transferred to a local hospital for treatment. She is expected to fully recover soon.

The suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant. The Long Beach Police Department confirmed that the suspect was also booked on one count of petty theft regarding a previous warrant, police said. His bail was set at $57,000.
