Grammy Award-winning singer to open the Rose Parade

Pasadena, California – The Rose Parade, which was canceled in 2021 due to the pandemic, will return on Jan. 1 with a special performance by Grammy Award-winning singer LeAnn Rimes, according to the Pasadena Tournament of Roses.

“Throw My Arms Around the World,” a remixed and remastered song made specifically for the New Year’s Day celebration, will open the show.

The Rose Parade Dancers, the Mark Keppel Dance Company, Rose Parade Flag Bearers, and four drummers will accompany Rimes, who first performed in the Rose Parade in 2006. The show will finish with pyrotechnics, which will set the stage for the two-hour parade.

Rimes has sold more than 48 million units worldwide as a multi-platinum selling artist and ASCAP award-winning songwriter. She won a Grammy for Best New Artist at the age of 14, making her the youngest person to receive one of the awards.
