Woman arrested after allegedly abducting her child

Willowbrook, California – Authorities found the 4-year-old boy safe who was said to have been abducted by his mother while on a supervised visit in Willowbrook.

According to Deputy Veronica Fantom of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau, Ethan Rodriguez was allegedly abducted by his mother, Cristina Rodriguez, 27, on Tuesday afternoon near Ralph J. Bunche Middle School in the area of East 124th Street and South Mona Boulevard.

At 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday, police found Ethan walking with his mother in a Compton neighborhood.

Christina Rodriguez was immediately taken into custody on suspicion of child abduction. Bail has been set at $40,000 for her release.

Authorities said the boy was not injured. He was placed into the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services, where he was reunited with his foster parents.
