Long Beach City Council approves $36 million for Artesia Great Boulevard Project

Long Beach, California – An improvement will be made to one of the roadways in Long Beach.

There will be improvements made to the sidewalks, crosswalks, landscaping, highways, street lighting, and other aspects along three miles of Artesia Boulevard, beginning at Harbor Boulevard and ending at Downey Avenue.

On Tuesday, the Artesia Great Boulevard Project received the green light from the Long Beach City Council. It is estimated that this project will cost $36 million.

The long-term goal is to lower the risk of injury or death on Artesia Boulevard for drivers and pedestrians as well.

The beginning of construction on the project is scheduled for the month of December, and it is anticipated that it will be finished in the year 2024.
