Girl wounded in shooting at her Anaheim home

Anaheim, California – Late Wednesday night, an 8-year-old child was wounded by gunfire while inside her Anaheim home.

The incident happened in the 300 block of East Valencia Avenue at 11:18 p.m.

According to Anaheim police, the girl was taken to a hospital after the shooting for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities believe the shooting was gang-related but did not release additional information.
