A total of 82 flights at LAX were canceled on Friday and 53 more flights were canceled on Saturday.
The flights were canceled mostly due to airline personnel shortages caused by the recent rise in coronavirus cases, which were fueled by the Omicron variant. Some of the cancellations were also due to weather.
