LA police need help regarding a hideous event where a handicapped man lost his life

Los Angeles, California – The Los Angeles Police Department appealed to the public, asking for assistance in identifying the driver in a hideous event who fled the scene after fatally hitting a handicapped man in Valley Glen on Sunday morning.

The man in a wheelchair was fatally struck between Vanowen Street and Sherman Way at approximately 2:55 a.m. by a dark-colored four-door vehicle that was heading south on Vineland Avenue, according to authorities.

The handicapped man was declared dead at the scene. His name was not released and it was only said that the victim was in his 50s.

The motorist continued driving following the accident. There was no information regarding the description of the driver.

Anyone who witnessed the unfortunate event or might have any information about it is asked to contact Detective Wade of the Valley Traffic Division at (818) 644-8036. Information that might lead to an arrest will be rewarded with up to $50,000.
