Long Beach house fire leaves two in critical condition

Long Beach, California – On Wednesday, a fire broke out in a two-story house on Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach, resulting in critical injuries to a child and a young adult. The Long Beach Fire Department received reports of the fire at around 8:20 a.m., and crews immediately responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they found four people, including a young child, who had suffered severe injuries due to the blaze.

Firefighters performed CPR on the child, who was then taken to the hospital, according to reports. One adult was also hospitalized in critical condition, while two others received less serious injuries. All of the adults involved in the incident were between the ages of 18 and 20.

The critically injured patients were discovered on the second floor of the house. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes, but fire crews remained on the scene throughout the day to determine the cause of the fire.

The Red Cross provided housing assistance to the residents who were displaced by the incident, while animal care officials assisted with family pets. The Long Beach Fire Department has not yet released further information on the cause of the fire or the conditions of the victims.
