Dermatologist arrested after her husband accused her of poisoning him

Irvine, California – On Friday, a dermatologist working in Mission Viejo was arrested on suspicion of poisoning her husband in their Irvine home.

According to Lieutenant Bill Bingham of the Irvine Police Department, Dr. Yue Yu was taken into custody on Thursday evening.

According to Bingham, the man had severe internal injuries but is expected to survive. The man accused his woman of poisoning him since he had been feeling ill over the last month.

Bingham said that the man provided them with surveillance footage that he had previously installed to back up his suspicions. The bail set for Yu was thirty thousand dollars.

A statement from Providence Mission Hospital, where Yu has been employed, reads, “We are aware of the arrest that was made on Thursday… and are cooperating fully with the Irvine Police Department. This incident is a domestic matter which occurred in Irvine, and we want to reassure our community that there has been no impact on our patients.”
