Eleven people displaced after two-alarm fire in Anaheim apartment building

Anaheim, California – A two-alarm fire that started in a garage in Anaheim and moved to an apartment building triggered the evacuation of eleven people early Tuesday morning.

According to Metro Net Fire Dispatch, the fire was reported in the 300 block of West Guinida Lane around 12:40 a.m.

After arriving on the scene, Anaheim Fire & Rescue personnel discovered that the fire had moved from a garage to an apartment complex. Cell phone video taken at the incident showed huge flames coming out of a carport underneath the apartment complex.

The fire was extinguished by firefighters in a short period of time.

According to fire officials on the site, the fire caused damage to two second-floor apartment units as well as the carport.

Eleven people were displaced as a result of the fire. The Red Cross was on the scene, assisting the displaced people in securing temporary housing solutions.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
