Traffic on I-10 Freeway significantly disrupted after a person was shot while driving, investigation ongoing

Montclair, California – Traffic on the I-10 Freeway was significantly disrupted and a SIG Alert was issued for the westbound lanes by the California Highway Patrol after a person was shot while driving.

After the gunshot, authorities were called to the location, which was in the area of South Indian Hill Boulevard and West San Jose Avenue. This is where the victim ended up after exiting the highway following the incident.

When paramedics got on the scene, they immediately transferred the victim to Pomona Valley Hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Their current health status is unknown.

Officers from the California Highway Patrol reported that the victim had been shot somewhere between the westbound 10 Freeway at Central Avenue and Monte Vista Avenue and that their vehicle had been damaged also.

The SIG Alert was lifted and all lanes were opened for traffic at approximately 10:40 p.m., after police searched the freeway for evidence that could have been left behind at the scene.

Authorities have not released any information on the victim or any of the suspects at this time because the investigation is still ongoing.
