Pomona safety traffic check resulted in two arrests for DUI, 54 citations
Pomona, California – Police in Pomona set up a traffic safety checkpoint that resulted in the arrests of two people for driving under the influence.
Pomona police officers with the Traffic Safety Team issued citations to 54 drivers for driving while unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, and they towed 17 cars, in addition to making the two arrests, according to Pomona PD.
Checkpoint officers were positioned at the intersection of Holt and Hershey avenues from 9 p.m. on Friday to 3 a.m. on Saturday.
According to police statistics, two people were killed and 38 others were injured in 125 DUI accidents in Pomona.
