Long Beach invites the public to the grand opening of an inflatable water playground
Long Beach, California – Long Beach is about to present its newest beach attraction just in time for the official start of the summer season and is inviting the public to the grand opening that is scheduled to be held on June 25, at Alamitos Beach, south of Ocean Boulevard and east of Shoreline Drive, between Fifth and Sixth places.
The public will be able to soon enjoy the inflatable water playground known as the Wibit. The entrance to the structure will be free and open to the public, and attendants will be able to enjoy multiple features, including bouncers, springboards, monkey bars, and activities such as balancing, swimming, jumping, and sliding.
The Tidelands Operations Fund, which has helped pay for repairs and improvements to several public facilities in Long Beach, enabled the construction of this $400,000 project in the city’s Second Council District.
“I know our community really enjoyed the Wibit playground at Bayshore Avenue, and we’re excited to launch this second one at Alamitos Beach just in time for summer,” Mayor Robert Garcia said.
The public will be able to enjoy the water play structure at the Wibit from 9 in the morning until 8 in the evening every day until the end of the summer season. Under 14-year-olds must be supervised at all times when playing on the structure.
