Grand opening ceremony of Shoreline Gateway held in Long Beach

Long Beach, California – A grand opening celebration of the Shoreline Gateway, a 35-story, sail shaped skyscraper located in the heart of Long Beach, was recently held.

The building is 417 feet tall and has 315 residential apartments, 6,500 square feet of commercial space, a five-level underground parking garage and many other amenities. The building is already inhabited by residents.

According to a statement from Long Beach, the building now stands taller than all other buildings not just inside the city’s borders but on all of the California coast, from southern LA to San Diego.

According to Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia, “The Shoreline Gateway is now the tallest building in Long Beach and is a symbol of our progress and future. The opening of the 35-story development has been long awaited, and we are so proud that residents and visitors will get to enjoy this new space.”

Long Beach officials held the official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday.
