Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department asks for public’s help locating at-risk missing Norwalk man with mental health condition

Norwalk, California – The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating an at-risk missing man who disappeared from Norwalk on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026.

Authorities identified the missing person as Desmond Eugene Terrazone, a 49-year-old White man whose family is concerned about his safety because he has a mental health condition.

According to investigators, Terrazone was last seen at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the 14500 block of Lefloss Avenue in the city of Norwalk. Detectives are urging anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to come forward as the search continues.

Detectives ask community for information

The Sheriff’s Department described Terrazone as 6 feet tall, weighing about 165 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a dark blue shirt and gray sweatpants.

Officials emphasized that Terrazone is considered an at-risk missing person because of his mental health condition. His family has expressed concern for his well-being and is hoping the public can help investigators locate him safely.

The case is being handled by detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau Missing Persons Detail, which investigates missing person cases throughout the county.
