Police investigating after person found dead in Long Beach

Long Beach, California – Long Beach police are investigating after a person was discovered dead outside of the Kim Long Market earlier today.

A spokesperson for the Long Beach Police Department, Brandon Fahey, said officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Anaheim Street at 8:01 a.m. to assist the Long Beach Fire Department, which had discovered the victim. At this moment, it is unknown if the death was suspicious or whether it was caused by natural reasons.

As the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner arrived at the scene, police taped off a small area of the shopping center’s parking lot.

The cause of the death is yet to be determined.
