Driver arrested in Long Beach following a police chase

Long Beach, California – A driver has been taken into custody after a police chase that began in Los Angeles and ended in Long Beach.

Authorities saw the stolen white SUV at Pacific Coast Highway and Figueroa Street in Wilmington at around 3:33 p.m. and started the chase, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The police chase came to a halt when the driver pulled over near North Bellflower Boulevard in Long Beach and fled the area on foot.

The driver was apprehended shortly after on 23^rd Street Wednesday afternoon.
