Water main break causes traffic congestion near LAX
Los Angeles, California – Drivers near Los Angeles International Airport are still facing traffic congestion after a water main burst Tuesday morning.
Drivers on the southbound lanes of Sepulveda Boulevard had to take a different route because the road was closed while crews worked to fix the break.
Northbound drivers were given a detour on the Westchester Parkway, and southbound drivers were advised to use the overpass that leads to World Way North.
Initial reports indicate the burst first occurred on Sunday evening.
The specific reason and circumstances under which the water main broke are not known, but it was said that this is the second time in a week that the water main broke at the same spot.
