Two people forced to leave their home after a fire broke out in the attic
Long Beach, California – Two people were forced to leave their home after a fire broke out at a North Long Beach residence on Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.
Crews from the Long Beach Fire Department responded in the 2600 block of 55th Way to a report of a two-story apartment building on fire.
Responding crews discovered the attic of the building was on fire. Firefighters also saw that a nearby transformer had failed, causing power lines to fall on top of the apartment building.
