Police investigating three separate incidents in Long Beach
Long Beach, California – The police in Long Beach were looking into three separate incidents that occurred in one night in the city’s eastern and northern neighborhoods. Two homes were burglarized, while the third one had an attempt to be broken into.
According to the Long Beach police tweet, officers were sent to the 5500 block of El Jardin Street at around 8:20 p.m. on Friday. A woman said she saw three men in her backyard, but they didn’t break into the house and got away before police arrived.
Shortly after that, at 9:41 p.m., police were called to the 5600 block of El Parque Street in East Long Beach in response to a burglary that had taken place within the previous half hour. According to the authorities, the suspects entered the property by destroying a sliding door, then took valuables from the residence.
Then, at about 9:52 p.m., thieves forced their way into a home in the 4200 block of Country Club Drive in North Long Beach and made off with jewelry.
The Long Beach Police Department provided homeowners with a list of safety tips that included using strong locks, installing burglar alarms and home video systems, and keeping an eye out for suspicious individuals knocking on their doors.
