Santa Ana accident left 2 dead, at least 3 injured

Santa Ana, California – Two men in their 60s were killed in a four-vehicle accident near Santa Ana, and at least three other motorists were hurt in the accident.

Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, with one coming to a stop on top of another, trapping the two men inside, according to the Santa Ana Police Department. Officers were sent to the scene at 5:48 p.m. Friday in the area of Bristol Street and Saint Andrews Place.

Paramedics pronounced the victims dead at the scene.

“Several other drivers and occupants sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment,” police said.

The police department also said that one of the drivers involved in the incident showed signs of impairment, and that an investigation was ongoing to establish if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident. In the words of the department, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is still going on.
